Digital Editing and Photo Restoration
At Waterpainter.com we will digitally remove obvious distractions (power lines and antennas) that may appear in your photo prior to rendering. This type of simple editing is included in the price of your photo painting. Special requests for more extensive photo restoration or manipulation are available for a reasonable editing fee. Any such editing costs will be quoted up front and subject to your approval. All photo restoration requests will include an online proof to ensure your satisfaction.
Scanning
Although scanning from quality first generation photographs is preferable we can also work with quality digital photos provided they meet certain digital criteria (click here for more info).
Your digital art rendering can be finished with several types of artistic edge treatments. You might choose a soft vignette edge or a more dramatic shaped vignette. A dry brush treatment also makes for an appealing edge when you want something other than the full frame look for these unique gift paintings.
